面向国家安全和国民经济的重大应用需求，围绕相控阵光学研究领域，中心重点开展光相控阵芯片、光相控阵激光探测与通信等关键技术攻关和系统工程创新，同时探索相控阵光学时空维度操控的应用基础研究，力争成为我国从事相控阵光学领域研究的知名科研机构，以及高级研究人才培养基地。

研究方向

相控阵光学主要研究“如何动态控制光波辐射阵列单元的时间（相位）和空间（几何排布）特性，实现目标光场任意操控”的科学和技术问题。

 三维光相控阵芯片设计与制造；

 光相控阵激光雷达研发与自动驾驶应用；

 光相控阵激光通信系统研发与卫星互联网应用。

人才队伍

中心现有工作人员12人，包括研究员1人，副研究员3人，高级工程师2人，已形成涵盖光机电热等多学科、专业齐备的科研团队。
